About The Owners of Cosy Gîte

nick and jane pursorWe bought La Petite Rigault from Mike & Jean on their retirement and return to England in December 2017. We have stayed in very many gîtes over the years so hopefully we have thought of everything you need in holiday accommodation.

We both used to be Customs Officers before moving into other work areas and then taking early retirement to enjoy our time and eventually moving to France to set up our home and business here. We hope you do enjoy your time at La Petite Rigault and if you have any queries please do ask.

We have 6 rescue cats, one mother with her four now adult children and another cat who knows he’s onto a good thing being fed on demand, so you’ll probably see cats of every colour walking around the garden.

The cats do have free roam of the garden and our home but we don’t let them into the gîte. Throughout the year deer do come into our garden and it certainly is beautiful to see although the cats are somewhat startled by them.

We live in the detached bungalow next door and on hand should you wish but we are quiet people going about our daily tasks and activities and will not disturb you.

We offer “try before you buy” long term lets which is what we did before deciding to move here. If are buying you can rent here and work on your own home but come back to a cosy gîte at the end of the working day. Or even if you want to rent long term to write your book or music in peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you.
